Open-source set of resources
The resources (e.g. documents, templates etc.) in the Agora are high-value open-source materials hosted in GitHub, including:
- Legal templates (contracts, agreements, letters)
- Ready-to-use documents (policies, clauses, checklists)
- Editable formats (using LaTeX language)
- Versioned updates reflecting legal or regulatory changes
- Usage guidance and annotations
These resources are maintained by the community to ensure quality and relevance.
Having open-source templates written in LaTeX benefits the community by providing high-quality, consistent, and professional documents that are easy to maintain and improve collaboratively.
LaTeX language ensures precise formatting, version control, and reproducibility—making it ideal for legal templates where structure and clarity matter. Because the templates are open source, the community can transparently review, adapt, and enhance them, accelerating improvements while reducing errors and duplication. This approach fosters trust, long-term sustainability, and shared ownership of legally sound, well-maintained resources.
All templates provided within this community are licensed under the GNU General Public License, Version 3 (GNU GPL v3). You are therefore free to use, modify, and redistribute these templates in accordance with the terms of the license. Any redistribution or derivative work must retain the same license and include appropriate copyright and license notices. The templates are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, and their use does not constitute legal advice.
Accessing to the documents & templates
You can access the repository of all Agora templates in the following
GitHub link.
Since GitHub repository might not be fully user-friendly for non technical users, Agora+ members have access to an additional inventory and listing in the forum for easier accessibility.
Using and tailoring a template to custom needs
Step 1 - Create an account on
Overleaf which is a powerfull online, collaborative LaTeX editor used to create professional documents such as academic papers, technical documentation, and legal templates.
Step 2 - Find the template or document you want to use on the Agora
GitHub repository and download the zip file of the whole folder.
Step 3 - Upload the zip file into Overleaf and start amending as per your needs. Overleaf lets you write, edit, and compile LaTeX documents in your web browser—without installing LaTeX on your computer.
Community-Powered Enhancements
One of the key benefits of forum-based resources is community intelligence. While everyone can propose and submit change request in GitHub to enhance the raw templates, Agora+ members (with paid subscription) have access to private space in the Agora and can:
- Discuss specific templates in dedicated threads
- Ask questions about clauses or usage
- Suggest improvements or flag outdated language
- View commentary from experts or moderators
This ensures templates evolve based on real-world use.
